Why I cannot honestly call myself a Christian
By Ian Introductory remarks This document sets out some arguments that question the truth of contemporary evangelical Christianity. It has been written largely for the benefit of the author but also to communicate to friends and family in a dispassionate and non confrontational way some of the rationale for no longer adhering to fundamentalist Christianity. It is almost all my own words but I have used material from the Internet in some places. I want to start with a challenge to the Christian who may read this. The challenge is as follows: Think of all the people and belief systems residing outside your church.
