It seems to me, that most of the people who see pictures of Jesus in stains on coffee cups and grilled cheese sandwiches, etc., are also the same folks who come to this country and live here all their lives without ever acquiring an adequate command of the English language! There seems to be some correlation here.
Dan (Who thinks that Catholic priests, cardinals, and popes should be embarrassed every time the put on their funny clothes and pretend to be doing the work of the lord)

THAT'S why there are no more miracles of the feed the 5,000 or heal the sic like you know, when Jesus was on earth! He's too busy making guest appearances on tortilla chips or the windscreens of vehicles or on walls! You can't expect him to answer a desperate mother's prayer for her child when he's working on burning his image on some inanimate surface for the wonder of the believer!

This stuff always boggles my mind... They take this stuff to be a sign that their religion is true. Given that premise, who the hell in their right mind would follow a god who's best idea is to manifest himself on a yam in Akron, Ohio?

What's the thought process here? Does Jesus actually sit there and think "Hmmm... I'd like to give 'em hope, should I appear 100 feet tall in downtown Chicago and tell them all is well, or wait 'til some kids spills the Cheetos and arrange them to resemble me?" With management like that, no wonder the world is screwed up, lol.

This is the 21st century baby, give us bigass widescreen miracles in THX Dolby surround sound!

by Mike This is a challenge to any christians reading this. Lots of you think that the ex-christians on this site are either running from God or have given up because they want to be 'in the world' in order to sin. You just can't get your heads round the fact that the Bible is full of holes, and that we haven't 'chosen' to disbelieve. Instead we disbelieve because once you read the Bible you realise that it is full of holes. I have three types of problems with the Bible, and I challenge the Christians to explain them, without resorting to personal attacks such as "If you were a real christian, you wouldn't need to ask these questions". Problem 1: There are many, many passages that clearly contradict each other. E.g. how many men were healed in the region of the Genesarenes, where the pigs hurtled down the bank into the water? How many angels were present at the empty tomb? Was the stone rolled away before anyone came to the tomb or while some were ...

By Doc Mike In the wake of the tornadoes that recently ravaged the Southern US, I am once again amazed by the ability of Christians to justify and excuse their god for the evil in the world and praise him for the things that turn out positive. What's worse, they sometimes claim that their "omnipotent" god is not even responsible for the bad things! "Thirteen were killed in Arkansas, seven in Kentucky, and five were killed in Alabama where some 500 homes were also destroyed. Tennessee was the hardest hit, with 34 killed and 230 citizens still unaccounted for in the poor, farming areas of Macon County near the Kentucky border." Today's comic was inspired by a report on NPR , in the aftermath of the tornadoes. A woman being interviewed had survived (not in very good shape, mind you) her mobile home being destroyed around her.
