That is actually an interesting point. As often as I have heard these miserable coproverms talk about hate and hating, I don´t think I have ever heard any of them talk about the things God loves.

Anyway, if they only love God, would it not actually be doing them a favour to send them to Him?

You know, one of the telling things about that clip, is when the reporter is talking to the guy with the poster, the guy actually seems almost normal, sort of "regular sort of guy" - doesnt look like a total nutjob and the reporter's comments make him laugh. (His wife, on the other hand is something else - what is it about fundy women...?)

Thats the scariest thing - ordinary, regular 9 to 5 type people being turned into nutjobs.... by religion. Goes back to that Weinberg quote:

"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."

Lots of you think that the ex-christians on this site are either running from God or have given up because they want to be 'in the world' in order to sin. You just can't get your heads round the fact that the Bible is full of holes, and that we haven't 'chosen' to disbelieve. Instead we disbelieve because once you read the Bible you realise that it is full of holes. I have three types of problems with the Bible, and I challenge the Christians to explain them, without resorting to personal attacks such as "If you were a real christian, you wouldn't need to ask these questions". Problem 1: There are many, many passages that clearly contradict each other. E.g. how many men were healed in the region of the Genesarenes, where the pigs hurtled down the bank into the water? By Sailorfraud The Bible says God is almighty who answers your prayers. So how do you know if God is real other than that faith crap? Try the power of prayer when an earthly situation occurs which is beyond your control and only an almighty God who created the universe and all life can control. Suppose you or a close family member has a terminal disease like cancer which cannot be medically cured? A certain time line is given, so like all hopeful human beings, you humbly and diligently pray to the almighty God who says in the Bible he answers prayers. Time and reality passes, the disease takes it's toll, and your prayers go unanswered. Maybe one in a million may be saved, but looking at a 99.9999% failure rate for prayer is evidence that God does not exist.
