Don't suck as I suck, but I suck because I like to suck!-Ted Haggard

Here's a short 2 minute clip of Richard Dawkins interview. Ted Haggard accuses Dawkins of being arrogant...while he in his self-righteous arrogant manner claims to be Great. "If you would read the Books I've read and know what I know you'd be Great like me...well sir...blah blah blah ...please don't be arrogant." What a Pompous hypocritical asshole. http://youtube.com/watch?v=RZwIyFd-0jU

I think many pastors who "fall" were at some point sincere.
Haggard, however, seems to have been a fad from the beginning. The vision he said he had, which led him to start the church, was nothing but a business plan. He knew he could make millions with the idea and went for it.
I have never trusted pastors who pray with their eyes open and overuse the pronouns "me" and "I" during their sermons--such as Haggard and Swaggart.

Christians claim that once they are born-again they are a "New creature in Christ"...that God answers prayer and can deliver anyone from anything. I'm sure Pastor Ted cried out for deliverance many times...I wonder why God couldn't deliver Ted Haggard from his Homosexuality. So much for answered prayer...I guess there's somethings God can't do. Jesus said that if your eye offends thee...cut it out...if your hand offends thee ..cut them off...that includes your Pecker Ted...so Does as Jesus commands...cut it off. That way you can show the world what a True repentative Christian you are.

classic christian theology "We don't have to think, it's written in the bible..."
What a twit.

I love Christians :-) They're awesome people so f*ck all you fundamental atheist sons-of-b*tches. I know many wounderful Muslims too so go to hell or evolve into a f*ucking aliens you fags. I'm not religion freak either, I would consider myself to be agnostic so don't go blaming this comment on the faithful.
P.S. I also love you ;-P

Repentant is the correct word Anon...Not Repentative. I'm sure Pastor Ted doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Yea, he repents by sending a letter to his congregation...he should have gone to Church Sunday so they could lay hands on him and cast out that lying, crank snorting, cocksucking demon out of him...what a low skank coward.
Okay, Mr anonymous agnostic freak. Your love us but want us to go to hell? Not religious though, just incredibly familiar sentiments...
You sound confused, like you don't know what to do, or who to blame. It's simple; your beloved Haggard is a Hypocrite. Accept it.

"We don't have to think..."
Finally, there is something that they practice what they preach.

Haggard is a great example that "preaching" is a talent that one is born with,..like music, sports or "homosexuality"!

I am a Christian and I just happened to log onto this site. It is very appauling that people would degrade someone when they fall. Pastor, musician, we all sin. The problem with what this man did is that he allowed himself to fall into the temptation that he obviously was not delivered from. Not because God cannot or did not deliver him, but that he made the decision to do things that are not pleasing to God (temptation). Does that make him a hypocrite...I guess so. But he is not above sin because he is or was a pastor. The bibles does say, "Be sure your sin will find you out." That goes for everybody. And no, I don't think that he should be allowed to preach anywhere(Read in the bible the story about Saul). You know, the bible does say that we reap what we sow. If he sowed things about Dawson and anybody else out of malice and self-righterousness, then he definitely had it coming.
As for those who have left nasty and degrading comments, the bible says, "Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm." It didn't say if they were right or wrong, it just said don't do it. Repent and ask God to forgive. I pray that the Holy Spirit will convict and convince you that you were wrong. Don't talk about the man...pray for him...apparently he needs it. Again, I implore you to read the story of Saul.
The point is this...find a relationship with God for yourself and do the best that you can to not to use your witness. One thing that I always say is that I don't want to do anything to lose my witness and discredit God and His kingdom. I am not perfect, but I know that with God I have to power to overcome temptation. I hate that this happened to this man because that gives the people who are trying to live their lives according to our faith a bad name. Nevertheless, this will not be a bump in the road for me. God is still sovereign.
Your Pastor Ted, whom you're so enamored with, lied to everyone in his flock for three or more years. When he was caught, he denied the allegations. A couple of days later he finally "confessed" that he'd been doing some things that were inappropriate. Not much of a confession.
Anyway, Ted is NOT the anointed of God. He is a charlatan and you were ripped off.

Anonymous Christian who just happened to log onto this site,
Oh, please, PLEASE anonymous, tell us more bible stories that we as EX-christians somehow happened to miss the first dozen times we read the bible.
With the aid and direction of your god, please have that holy spook convict and convince us that we are wrong. It must be so obvious how desperate we are to become “Christians” again. I’m certain you are on your knees right now praying (to nothing actually) that we shift our gears, turn 180 degrees, and drive back into the hypocrisy-filled fantasyland known as Christianity.
Yes, we all have a burning desire to return to having yahoos like Ted Haggard preaching the true gospel to us.

Blah blah; "the bible says"; blah blah blah, "the bible says"; more blahhhh... Aww, come on! Do you hear yourself? Honestly - you sound like every other friggin' christian that has set eyes upon this site. Is that all you can do? Is it all you can do to just parrot out the same rhetoric that everyone else in your cult regurgitates?? You sound like a darned pullstring toy. No, really - check your back.. ..do you have a large key stuck in your back that turns around when you say this crap?? A string, perhaps?? Arrgh..
People like you are so frustrating. This is an EX-christian site!! Get it? GET IT?? Bible spiel is not respected here because, guess what? We all have figured out (as you are about to, I am sure - just stick around) that the 'Bullshit In Brown Leather Exterior' book that you so love belongs in the same rubbish heap as does the Koran and numerous other religious texts. Understand?? Don't walk on in here and start lecturing us with biblical garbage; it simply will not work here. Besides; we were all christians at one time; there are folks here who have been probably more devout to the christian faith than even you! We know this stuff - we've done the homework and we've even been in your shoes long enough to take our turn at looking just as foolish and stupid-sounding as you do right now! Look - you have nothing concrete to show anyone that your cult is true or even based on reality. Nothing. Not a bloody thing. Unless you intend to show us some empirical evidence to support your 'beliefs', I would strongly suggest not insulting those that frequent this board regularly with your foolish banter. -Wes.
