That is why the single most irritating thing xians do is "share". They have no intention of sharing; they intend to transmogrify their victims into something they aren't.
I am fond of Nietzsche and Ayn Rand. I like Satanism--I have just finished reading The Secret Life of a Satanist by Blanche Barton. These things have made me better and stronger, but I could not care less if my neighbor shares these things with me. Imitating others is cheap and vulgar.
xians come in here all the time, distressed out of their wits that there are people who do not share their notions. Who I am and what I think is precious to me, but the word "precious" is not in their vocabulary. Neither is the word "I"
Right, and do you think for one second that any Religionist would give half-a-rat's ass if someone started a "Trees Don't Exist" website? Seriously, would people waste time and energy rebuking such an assertion? Would they go back-n-forth trying to "define" a "tree"?...trying to PROVE the existance of trees?
The first point being---that if someone REALLY, REALLY...and I mean R-E-A-L-L-Y believed that something undeniably existed---something like "trees", for instance---then they wouldn't give the non-believer the time of day. The second point being---that because this is clearly NOT the case with people who deny "God"...e.g.."EX-Christian.net", this pretty much shows that there's at least SOME insecurity on the behalf of the believer. Of course, they'll never admit it, because they have "Faith".
BTW, the reason this analogy doesn't go both ways, is because there are no conditions attached to "non-belief". The non-believer stands to gain nothing; the believer stands to gain eternal life....which is a contradiction, BTW.

...Which is a myth, something we should be courageous enough to look at straight on, see that it's untrue, purge it, and move on.
Logic is not a part of "non-belief" I guess...reason which works in one direction seems a little too self serving to be considered objective...
I'm not saying it's not okay to wear a shirt that says "I believe people shouldn't believe _________ for the following reasons"...but I just can't imagine that feeling like a worthwhile statement to anyone...but here we are...
