Debunking the Bible..why are the
British so much better at it than we are?

A very good video, by the way.

Another great vid by Pat. The resoning he uses in this video is the same Thomas Jefferson used when he wrote the Jeffersonian Bible.

I agree with Ace, why are the British so much better at debunking than we 'colonists'? To quote that famous writer, Dr Suess, "Go, Pat, Go!" Don't you just love this guy?

Celestial thug, sonofabitch, deeply disturbed individual, meat and potatoes mumbo jumbo......LOL!

Sometimes fellings are not enough, some people get pleasure out of causing pain.

I get my morality from life experience and quantum physics, and abit of evolutionary genetics.

OOoh this guy's good, I adore this type of dry British humor:

quote:The bible CAN be used for good, of course it can.
Take a nice, hardback copy of the bible & insert it sideways into G W Bush's born again anus and then hammer it up there, nice & tight with a very large mallet. That might do some good, it will do GWB a lot of good and would greatly enhance USA's tarnished image abroad"

He's brilliant and there is lots of him on youtube.

This guy rocks! I don't know what it is about this particular type of Brit, but I love it -- reminds me a bit of John Cleese. I have a cousin by way of marriage that is just like this fellow. Very adept verbally, dry sense of humor, quite intelligent -- also a non-believer. Do the English get a better education than we Americans?

I like the video, but I disagree with all the praising of the person Jesus was. Well, first off, I tend to doubt Jesus ever truly existed, However, if I am wrong, and the bible has his history correct, then Jesus was also capable of being very anti-social, arrogant, and judgemental. Here is one example;
Matthew 7:19-21 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

We learn morality by trial and error, just like we learn how to walk and talk.

When we mash our fingers, we feel pain, so we soon realize that others feel pain just the same, we also can see the expression on other peoples faces when we hurt their feelings and do things we shouldn't have.

Like when we spill a glass of milk and see the expression on our mothers or fathers face, we soon realize we should be more careful in the future, other wise we would find pleasure in spilling our milk on a rehgular basis and continue to do this even in our adult stage.

Morality is a human virtue, even all animals have this same ability, otherwise they would push people onto on going traffic or continue to bite and wantonly maim humans.

It plainly does not take a book of golden rules for any living creature to indistinctly know right from wrong.

So therefore the bible is a useless piece of trash to begin with.

There's no indication of better morals by claiming to be a Christian, because the bible god does not follow common morals learned by people and animals.

Therefore the bible god should have to spend an eternity in the hell he suppossedly created.

So god is satan and heaven is hell and so none of it is ture.
