"A Sabbatical?" or "My Anti-Testimony"
I first posted this "testimony" to the web on July 27, 2001. If you too have found Christianity specifically, or religion generally, to be less than satisfying for any reason, please consider posting your own "testimony" to this site by clicking here , or message me by clicking here. I t is invariably a shock to Evangelical Christians to come across someone who has turned his or her back on the “faith was once delivered unto the saints.” Most believers will quickly dismiss an ex-Christian by piously pointing out that anyone who turns away from Christ was never a real believer. Or, as an insider might say it, “They were never born again.” There is Biblical support for the assertion. 1 John 2:19, which addressed the problem of First Century apostates, states that: “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us....

If you are going to share something like this, a little background would be helpful.
I will be embedding this on my homepage just for the sheer entertainment value! FUNNY!
However, I too am curious as to the circumstances of the scene. Was this in some sort of a coffee shop our bookstore? Also I was wondering if the guy who shot the video is alright! It looked like she assaulted him! He should have had her arrested! Who knows, she might have gone home and abused her kid or kicked the dog! You never know with all that anger and rage inside of her, what she is capable of!
I guess anger management isn't part of the Jesus scene!

Anyway, from what I can gather from the limited footage, looks like she would be a kook with or without religion.

I have been thinking about "the peace that surpasses all understanding" saying lately. Its a crock, but the one piece of truth behind it is that it surpasses all understanding because it has no understanding. A web of lies usually does that. Xtians accept it with no reason, evidence, or questioning it. Its a childhood peace of ignorance and being naive to the truth (no gawd and no purpose). The peace of no understanding!!
Xtians living in a world of fantasy and non-reality.
Reality hit this woman in the ass and she hated it. She tryed to use her jebus spell of reassurance on herself. Why is xtians can be confident in numbers, but when faced with a group of non-believers, they walk away or shut down?
But, it's also possible that she was known for exactly what she was filmed doing and was set up.
It would be nice to know, either way.
pekingjohn, what exactly does her weight have to do with it?
I'm about 100 lbs. overweight and I have a fine demeanor (although I will admit to getting laid on a regular basis :D)
The problem with that upbringing is it teaches us that the world is against us (unless they believe what we do). I'm only now starting to realize what a fog my mind was in all of those years, seeing everyone as a potential convert, and taking their beliefs personally. I'm only recently starting to see how codependent religion made me, and the damage that such codependency has caused me and all sorts of people around me.
The woman in the video apparently doesn't feel very good about herself. She should learn how to deal with issues in a realistic manner instead of finding acceptence and justification by being a warrior for Christ.
